Ohio Spiderwort

Tradescantia ohiensis
Three delicate bright blue petals surround prominent yellow anthers. This widely distributed US native perennial is becoming increasingly hard to find due to habitat fragmentation and tillage. It is a part of many prairie ecosystems, including the endangered Tallgrass Prairies. It can occasionally be found in riparian areas.

Note: stratify for 3-4 months. Fall planting is best for this one.
