Whorled Milkweed

Asclepias verticillata
Whorled Milkweed has small umbels of white or pale green flowers. This perennial grows in sun and part shade and prefers dry soils. It reaches up to 1m in height. It takes off slowly, reaching maturity in the 3rd year. This plant is a member of a genus critical to the survival of the Monarch Butterfly.

Requirements: Whorled milkweed prefers dry sites and sandy soils.
