Green Antelopehorn Milkweed

Asclepias viridis
Also referred to as Green Antelopehorn Milkweed, this lovely US native perennial and member of the monarch-friendly Asclepias genus is reduced throughout its range and considered endangered in Indiana. Predominantly light green, small purple centers help direct pollinators. It has very sticky sap!

It blooms intermittently all summer and into the fall. Likes moist but not wet soils, and somewhat drought tolerant. Also grows well on limestone soils.
