Illinois Bundleflower
Illinois bundleflower is also called Illinois mimosa. It is widely distributed and is nutritious and palatable forage for lifestock and wild grazers. It is an herbaceous perennial, and can reach just over a meter, but is usually smaller. Shiny curved brown seed pods form attractive clusters, adding to the aesthetic value of the plant. It establishes readily from seed. Is tolerant of alkaline soils in the western US.
