Pale Purple Coneflower

Echinacea pallida
The Pale Purple Coneflower is a US native wildflower. It is similar to the purple coneflower, but generally has a deeper purple disc, and longer, paler petals- sometimes almost white. It likes dry and rocky soils, and will also grow in a forest if there is enough light through the canopy. It is considered threatened in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
